Genteel Infosystem Pvt. Ltd. has become aware of fraudulent SMS messages being sent using the sender ID "SCHCOL", falsely claiming that the recipient is eligible for a refund and asking them to click on a link.

These messages are not authorized or sent by Genteel Infosystem Pvt. Ltd..

Genteel Infosystem Pvt. Ltd. never sends SMS asking you to click a link for a refund or payment

We do not send unsolicited SMS messages with links to claim a refund or make a payment. If you receive a message like this — regardless of the sender ID it appears to come from — treat it as fraudulent.

What to do

• Do not click on any link in the message.
• Do not provide OTPs, passwords, bank or card details, UPI PINs, or any other personal or financial information in response to such a message.
• Do not call any phone number included in the message.
• If you've already clicked the link or shared any details, contact your bank immediately to secure your account.

How to report it

Please retain the message (a screenshot is fine) and report it to the appropriate cyber-crime authorities:

You're welcome to also let us know at security@schoolconsole.net so we can track the scale of the impersonation — but please report it to the authorities above first, as we cannot take action against the sender ourselves.
